[Unit Project 1] Thoughts put into tenugui
My artifact is a tenugui. It is made of cotton cloth. It is square in shape. It size is 24 centimeter long and 94 centimeter wide. It is essential when you playing kendo. We wrap it around head. It is bigger than the computer. It is often wrriten the famous words. For example, hard work , single mind, spirit and energy. My tenugui is red and black color.
This artifact was purchased at the 2019 of the National Dojo
Junior Kendo Tournament. All five club member purchased the
same things include me. We have used other some tenuguis in practice and
practice game. We have used abusolutly red and black tenugui in the match. It
looks strong and unity feeling. The team competition of kendo is fight 5
people. I am the second person to fight, a position called "Zyuhou". When I'm in the
third year high school, thre was a last Distric Tournament in a gym called the
Culture Center. We advanced to the final match. The opponent in the final was
long time rival High school. The high school was regularly competes in the
final. The Senpou won in the final match. So, if I could won, we would have
cheched the champion.
"Leave the next match to you" said the Senpou.
"Go to calm down" said everyone.
"Leave it to me" said me.
But, I lost the final match. After that, the flow went to the
opponent. The all result was runner-up. I was frustrating in the result of that
match. I thought the cause that I lost was because of my feeling. I
should have had more of a desire to win than my opponent.
Making cotton products leads to environmental deterioration. For example, the soil deterioration and the groundwater pollution were appear in using the harmful agricultural in field. As a result, the health is also being affected. These issues are not yet widely recognised in Japan. This issue should be featured more by the media. I used a lot of tenugui. As soon as the cloth strarted to fray, I replaced it with a new one. I was surprised that such damage occured during production. I realized that I need to treat cloth with more care.
You learn etiquette
by doing martial arts. You may have often heard the phrase "It begins with
a courtesy and end with a courtesy." It is important to respect your
opponent and play the game fairly. I have forgotten to be respectful to others.
It is important for both you and your opponent to play comfortably. In society,
we need to cooperate with various people. It is important for superiors to
trust their subordinates and for subordinates to rely on their superiors. As a
result, company management and work efficiency can be improved. It is also
important to say hello and thank them properly. Kendo cannnot be done alone. By
wrapping a tenugui around your head and practicing kendo, you learn about the
value of your opponent. Moreover, by saying hello and thanking each other at
the begin and end of practice, you will be able to acquire the skills necessary
for society.

The tenugui is so cool. Especially, color is good! I feel your passion from your tenugui. When final match starts, I think you were nervous. It is difficult to learn from defeat like you, so I respect you.
返信削除Your tenugui is so nice! I could tell that you are seriously devoting yourself to Kendo.
