[Unit Project 2] How to make original fried rice
Introduction
Fried rice has become popular dish in Japan as well. It was created during the Sui dynasty in China. It was introduced to Japan by envoy during Tang dynasty in China. At first, fried rice was a simple dish consisting of stir-fried eggs and rice. After that, there were the addition of seasonings and cooking methods evolved. The result is the fried rice we know today.
When I was high school student, I was impressed by eating the fried rice that my friend made. The fried rice was simple, but it is very delicious. I wish I could make that fried rice at home too. I also wanted to make original fried rice. I tried making fried rice using various seasonings such as waipa, gochijang, and been sauce. The fried rice shown below is my favorite flavor.
You will need to
- A 30cm frying pan
- A wooden rice scoop
- A knife
- A cutting board
- A table spoon
- A tea spoon
- A plate
- 2 small bowls
- 1 set of chopsticks
Ingredients
The recipe yields 1 serving.
- Rice (200g)
- Egg
- Quarter of green onions
- Cooking sake (15g : one table spoon)
- Soy sauce (5g : one tea spoon)
- Chicken soup base (5g)
- Sesame oil (15g)
Procedures
1. First, put the egg in the small bowl and lightly dissolve it. Set it aside.
2. Second, mix the cooking sake and the soy sauce in the small bowl. Set it aside.
3. Third, place the green onions on the cutting board and use the knife to chop them into small pieces. Set it aside.
4. Next, put the frying pan on medium heat, and add the sesame oil.
5. Aftee that, add the egg from step1 to the the frying pan and leave for 15 seconds to make them soft-boiled.
6. Add rice to the frying pan and mix the rice and the egg evenly with the wooden rice scoop. When it finished mixing, add and stir-fry the chicken soup base to frying pan.
7. Transfer everything from the frying pan to the plate.
8. Add the seasonings from step2 to the frying pan and leave for 15 seconds to remove the smell of alcohol.
9. Return the ingredients transferred to the plate from step7 to the frying pan and stir-fry it with the wooden rice scoop.
10. Add the green onions from step3 to the frying pan and stir-fry for 10 seconds with the wooden rice scoop.
11. Finally, put everything in the frying pan on the plate.
Conclution
My oridinal fried rice is very simple. The fried rice I made was just as delicious as the fried rice my friend made. But, it is seasoned well to bring out the good of the rice. Fried rice can be arranged in many different ways. It's good to make it with simple ingredients. You can also make it with more ingredients. The texture is moist and crumbly. Please try making your own fried rice.
